Ordained in 1975

Served as Associate Pastor in several parishes; then, in 1988, named Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Oakland, CA.


From 1981 to 1983, Fr. Seamus worked with the Redemptorist community in Ireland presenting parish missions and school retreats.

Fr. Seamus’ preaching has touched many hearts in both Europe and the United States, from Montana to Dublin. His warm and positive theology reflects the generous, hospitable God who is ever drawing us into His loving and life-giving embrace.

Educational Background

After completing his studies in Theology, Scripture, and Ministry, Fr. Seamus completed his Doctorate of Ministry at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA.

Current Additional Leadership

During his years as Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes, he designed and directed a fund raising campaign, and orchestrated the stunning renovation of the parish church, which is today an architectural treasure and breathtaking worship space. He has also led his parish family to a renaissance of impassioned believing, as well as ever-growing participation and membership.
