During his pastorate at St. Anthony parish, Bishop Mansell entrusted Fr. Joe with the joining of two parishes into the one parish family of St. Anthony/St. Joseph. Throughout this time, Fr. Joe fostered a deeper understanding of stewardship, participation and belonging. He organized and empowered a parish whose influence reaches far beyond the walls of its buildings and the lines of its geography. His staff and parishioners have come to love him deeply. He has served as priest in parishes of varying sizes and complexity, and will bring to any mission a rich and clear understanding of the sacramental, managerial and ministerial challenges facing every pastor.
