Current Additional Leadership
Preaching has been the most significant ministry in Fr. Bob’s life as a priest. It is the reason he entered the Order of Preachers. His preaching ministry has taken him throughout the United States and Canada with a brief preaching schedule in Malawi and Zimbabwe Africa. The continued focus of his preaching has been the graciousness of God toward every human being manifested especially in Jesus Christ, who continues his saving and healing mission through the Church in the power of the Holy Spirit. God’s reverent justice toward all and God’s great loving mercy, forgiveness, kindness and compassion are the themes that continually run throughout his preaching.
Past Leadership
Father Bob has taught theology in various schools throughout his years as a priest. On behalf of the Southern Dominican Province, in 1983 he founded the Aquinas Center of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also taught at the Candler School of Theology. For ten years, he was the Director of Vocations for the Central Province of Dominicans; and, for many years, he served as Director of Formation for Dominicans in the Southern Dominican Province who were preparing for priesthood and ministry.
